Sara Sambola vocals, Cristina López vocals, Ana Brenes vocals, Toni Abellán guitar, Carlos Cuenca electronica and keyboards, Jesús Campos percussion

La Prenda Roja, consisting of three singers and composers, is a line-up that breaks with the stereotypes of classical flamenco, incorporating influences from outside the tradition. Sambola, López and Brenes perform their own tunes and adapt old pieces, using electronica and snatches of urban music. In their look and their lyrics, La Prenda Roja champion what they call “flamenco in red” – the colour symbolising strength, a big sound, empowerment and unrestricted freedom. It’s 21st-century flamenco; flamenco of the here and now
