Costi “El Chato” bailaor, Marina González bailaora, Abraham Jiménez cante, Jose de la Miguela cante, Miguel de Aguilera guitar

Disciple of La Tolea, Antonio Canales and the Farruco family, among others, the dancer Costi “El Chato” treasures a fruitful career since he began dancing at Tablao de Carmen with only 15 years. Farruquito or Duquende are some of the artists he has worked with, and Belén López, Diego del Morao and Capullo de Jerez with whom he has shared stage. He has also performed shows such as “Bajarí Flamenca” or “Zambreando”. “Hambre,” is his most personal work. In the company of an exceptional group, “El Chato” reveals his conception of flamenco: “an endless, infinite art,” he told El Periódico on the occasion of the presentation of the show. In the same piece he added: “[Flamenco] is a way of life. If you like it, you need to constantly feed yourself and you never have enough.” Through dance, touch and singing, Chato proposes us to discover the dynamic character of flamenco, that is, its essence.
