“Espiritual” is a show that examines the Arab, Jewish, Hindu and Christian roots of flamenco on a sensual, textural, harmonious journey, created by excellent performers. The tocaor Rafael Fernández dives into the spiritual soul of the flamenco art through the harmonies and religious chants of the cultures that gave birth to flamenco. “Espiritual”, which is also the title of Fernández’s second album, was successfully premiered at the prestigious Arte Flamenco de Cataluña festival (Cornellà), where he shared the bill with artists including Rafael de Utrera and Lole Montoya. A follower of Chicuelo and El Califa at the Taller de Músics, Rafael Fernández is one of the most brilliantly creative flamenco guitarists today. He has performed in the top tablaos in Barcelona and Madrid and has received prestigious awards.
